Noisy

PS re my noisy N30. Resmed blurb on the N30 says that a "crackling noise" can be due to worn or damaged components. My N30 is brand new, straight out of the pack, and it crackles and rustles with all 3 cushions, none of which appear to be damaged. Also that the N30 has "Quiet Air Technology that breaks up expelled air to minimise noise". I'm guessing that's what the filter material is - quiet air technology!

Cute but Noisy!

Nice looking little setup, easy on and off, with a choice of 3 nasal cushions in the fit pack. Cushions are very soft and comfortable, easy to get the exact right fit. The strap adjustment buckle arrangement is a bit clunky, but otherwise it's all good except for the noise! If the N30 was quiet I'd give it 4 but the noise makes it unuseable (for me). With perfect fit and seal, no leaking, while I'm sitting/lying perfectly still, it crackles and rustles. It's not a leak noise, and it's there even if I hold my breath and don't breathe. I can't work out what it is, but I suspect it's (possibly) the filter material? Why does it even have filter material in the vents? Why the need to filter what's going OUT? There is nothing wrong with my machine/hose etc, they are all clean and working perfecly with my N20, which is dead silent, not a whisper from it.....and the N20 has clear open venting, no filter. If anyone has any ideas I'd like to hear them. Thanks.
