Fisher & Paykel Solo™ Nasal Mask

Everyone with Apnea knows that masks can make or break your sleep. I have researched mask reviews for years always looking for a better option. I have worn a variety of masks for over 35 years and have spared no expense on what I thought might bring me a better experience. A stint in hospital recently on a respirator sparked another round of research and I looked at the Solo mask as a potential option instead of the Brevida I have been using for more than five years. I approached the sleep clinician that monitors my health and was told the Solo was too noisy and expelled quite a draft, that it had been trialed with many patients and that it resulted in so many complaints that they would not supply them to anyone. I looked at the F&P technical design material and decided that I would buy one to make my own judgement. I purchased the fitting kit product first with the nasal pillows and checked the nose cushion size I should be using. I found the mask worked wonderfully well and I didn't have the sleep disturbances that I was getting with the Brevida which I had found swivel locking and pulling in the night etc. I am perfectly satisfied with the Solo to the point that I brought another one for use in my Motorhome. I was disappointed that I was fed so much negative information from the experts. Many of the Googled reviewers gave the same negative feedback but I have come to realize human beings are all different and there is not a one size fits all that you can rely upon. I am fortunate the financial situation wasn't an obstacle for me. I am very happy with the Solo mask as a necessary solution to the Apnea condition.
